RE: McDevitts Pub

We patronized McDevit's Pub for about one year. One of our member's father hosts Kareokee every weekend. One weekend a sign was posted that declared, "No Club Colors". We were allowed in and had a good time with no incidents. Several of our members even bought memberships at the club.

The next weekend we were not allowed in wearing our colors. We were told to "turn our vests inside out" and we could enter. Does this change who we are? She refused to refund our membership fees from the previous weekend. We have since learned that an organization "Rolling Thunder" is allowed to wear their patches in the bar. The owner commented that they "aren't a club". They are an organization whose members wear patches designating who they are... What's the difference???

How can we be discriminated against on a person's beliefs that we are more likely to commit an offense than some other organization's members? There is no evidence that we are more likely to cause a problem than anyone else. However, there is evidence to the contrary, during the times that we frequented McDevitt's Pub we were never involved in an incident, and showed respect for all their clientelle. In complete disregard for the evidence we still cannot enter, even though another "non-club" can? Free Country?
